Ascott expands in China with the help of new villas are serviced in Foshan and Hong Kong

CapitaLandswholly-owned serviced residence business unit, Ascott Limited (Ascott), has clinched contracts to manage two properties in Foshan and Hong Kong. Recent additions to further strengthen the leading position Ascotts as the largest international serviced residence owner-operator in China with more than 7,000 apartment units in 40 properties in 17 cities. 186-unit Ascott Premier M-City, Foshan, which is the first Ascotts residence in Foshan City, is scheduled to open in 2016. 71-unit Somerset Victoria Park in Hong Kong will Ascotts second residence in Hong Kong when it opens in 2013. Ascott currently owns and operates the Citadines Hongkong Ashley, which is located in the lively Tim Sha Tsui area.

Lee Kun Lee, Ascotts managing director for North Asia, said: Since our last properties in Foshan and Hong Kong, Ascott has provided more than 870 apartment buildings in the six range of services in China this year. We have also opened new properties in Shenzhen and Xi’an and are happy to open our exclusive Ascott Guangzhou IFC next year. Ascott is on track to nearly double China portfolio to 12,000 apartments by 2015.
