The award highlights the fastest growing companies in America cities. ICIC is a non-profit research and strategy organization founded in 1994 by Harvard Business School professor Michael Porter, to support economic growth in urban areas.

The rankings are used to identify best practices to ensure business growth and job creation. Although based in the city center, these companies provide more than half of their income from regional, national and international sales. Marlin became, in fact, currently exports a quarter of its products in international markets, including China, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan and Australia.

  Marlin Steel Wire Products produces its own form of wire of stainless steel wire baskets and sheet metal fabrications. The company was founded in 1968 and brought in revenues and profits for six consecutive years, despite the rocky economy. Drew Greenblatt served as president of the Association of the wire processors, the trade association for the industry, the Executive Committee of the National Association of Manufacturers and is chairman of the Regional Manufacturing Institute. Mr. Greenblatt was invited to the White House five times, and was more than 30 times on national television about the production and small business needs.
