   You can only get an employment visa if you have a job. There are 3 grades of employment visas. Work Permit, S-Pass and Employment Pass. So first and foremost, find a job. Then you and your employer will apply for the relevant visa for you.

   If you come to Singapore now (without a job), you will need a tourist visa (called Social Visit Pass)

   The employer will be the one to apply a work permit for you. Once entered to Singapore the immigration will allow you to stay for 30 days, before the expiration date and if you still want to stay you can have an extension for 15 days but you need to pay i think $20 (Singapore Dollar), you can extend your stay via online they call it “E-EXTEND” check out this site and just follow the procedure : https://www.psi.gov.sg/NASApp/tmf/TMFServlet?app=STSVP-PUBLIC&isNew=true&Reload=true

   Now, it’s your choice whether you want to find a job first before coming to SIngapore or you can also come here and look for job at the same time. But this idea is quite hassle, risky, challenging and need a lots of guts. Since you need to worry where will you be staying and hotels here are quite expensive so you might want to bring some extra pocket money also for backups and you still don’t know how long will you be able to find a job..

   There are 3 categories for work pass:
   1. Work Permit – for skilled worker
   2. S-Pass – for individuals who are college / university graduates
   3. Employment Pass – for individuals with higher degree
